It is quite an impatient wait for the results to be out for any exam and for every applicant. After writing the theory paper, people wait with bated breath for the results to be declared because a lot of the future depends on it. Conducting authorities are aware of the importance of the results for the candidates and therefore they provide a tentative date at which the results would be most probably known to the public. A similar story is weaved for the IBPS Probationary Officer written exam.
The IBPS or Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is a national body that is responsible for conducting the national level banking Common Written Exam or CWE throughout the country. This exam is meant to recruit candidates into the PO, clerical and specialist officer posts in the 19 participating nationalised banks of the country. For the purpose, there are about 5 written exams conducted in a year at different times and the candidates are required to take the test depending on the post for which they want to join. These are the theory or written question papers, which are usually of the objective type questions.
After the theory exam is over, the candidates are now waiting for the results to be declared by IBPS. For the probationary officer posts, for which the exam is conducted twice a year, the results will be important for the candidates because it will then qualify them to appear in the interview round and then lead into the jobs. Hence, the IBPS PO result is awaited by the candidates with lots of dreams for their future. It is usually declared a few days after the written test is over, in a single day.
This result is in the form of the total weighted score or TWS for the entire paper as well as consists of the single TWS for each topic separately. Since there are topics like general and banking awareness, quantitative ability, reasoning, English and computer knowledge, each topic is given a separate TWS, which will be required by the candidates to apply for the vacancies declared by different banks.
Candidates can download their total weighted score from the official internet portal for each individual topic and the total score. For this, they will have to provide their registration number and password, which the candidates had received while putting in their applications online. In the first phase of the IBPS PO result, the scores are provided and the document containing these scores is sent to the individual candidates.
In the second phase, the candidates are sent the rankings in the exam through online mode. The delay is because it will require further scrutiny to find out the ranking of all the candidates. Another phase of result declaration consisted of the scores of the candidates who appeared in the supplementary exam because they were not allowed to sit for the main exam as their documents and applications were faulty.
With the results of IBPS PO exam out in the picture, it is time that the candidates celebrate the success but with the fact in mind that the interview for different banks will happen in the short future. Its payback time for the hard work that the candidates have put in and with a little perseverance and push, the candidates will be posted as probationary officers in some of the top nationalised banks of the country.
